Early in my return to making glass, one of the approaches that I took was to adapt existing patterns. The pattern used for Beneath the Depths gave me a chance to practice my curve-cutting skills, and to play with different color ways.  This pattern also appealed to me because it is reminiscent of an old quilt pattern, the Scallop.
